The “International Design Carnival” series of activities rely on Sino-Finnish Design Park, which is the core of Shenzhen’s international intelligent products, innovative industries and industrial design, and the main role of the Shenzhen Industrial Design Profession Association and the enterprises in the Park, to display and promote the latest achievements and development trends of domestic and international design, to promote exchanges and cooperation between domestic and international design circles, and to promote the development and innovation of the design business on a global scale.

The event focused on “the potential and possibilities of design in the future world”, by organizing the “Timeless Furniture – The Special Exhibition of the 90th Anniversary of Yrjo Kukkapuro (1933-2023)”, “GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2023 Seminar (Shenzhen Venue)”, “Indiegogo China Annual Summit and GOGO Awards Ceremony”, “International Innovation Design Exhibition” and other activities to show the changes and innovations brought by design in the future of home, culture, science and technology, etc., and to call attention to the importance and influence of design in the future of the world. At the same time, it provides a display and communicate platform for the Shenzhen design industry, promotes the city’ s high-quality development in the process of actively integrating into the development of world design, and further enhances the global visibility and influence of Shenzhen – the City of Design.

Sino-Finnish Design Park is an international industrial cluster with industrial design as its core, established in Shenzhen on the initiative of the governments of Shenzhen and Helsinki after they officially became international friendship cities due to design, based on the creative design resources of the two international “Cities of Design”. The success of the International Design Carnival has created a favorable development environment for the promotion of international exchanges in industrial design, and further promoted the exchange and cooperation of domestic and international design concepts, works, talents and enterprises, as well as the transformation of their achievements, thus contributing to the construction of Shenzhen as a global “City of Design”.
