Firma Stella Sports: Warren Gatland signs exclusive memorabilia deal

British Weekly March 10, 2021 2 minutes read

British and Irish Lions trainer Warren Gatland has signed an official partnership with Worcester-based Stella Sports for sports memorabilia.

The company, led by Worcester entrepreneur Peter Johnson, sells a full line of 100% authentic signed sporting goods covering rugby, soccer, F1, cricket, tennis and golf. Now Gatland has signed an exclusive contract.

It was the first time a signature had taken place at Stella headquarters and Peter Johnson admitted that welcoming Gatland to Worcester was a “great” experience.

“Warren signed everything rugby, including the Lions 2021 jerseys, Wales Grand Slam jerseys, balls and photos,” he said.

“This was the first time that there was a signature at our headquarters as we normally travel to the location of the symbol.

“It was a great experience for the Stella team to have one of the most successful coaches in rugby history at Stella. Warren was a very interesting guy, dedicated, down-to-earth, humorous and passed on some of his wisdom.”

Gatland was in England this week to further prepare for the Lions tour this summer, although the location of this tour remains unknown due to the various complications caused by Covid-19.

It was supposed to take place in South Africa between July and August. 10 games were planned, including the three test series against the reigning world champion The Springboks.

Rumors have it that it could take place here in the UK after Australia was ruled out as an option despite its bid to host it.

The Chiefs’ current head coach watched The Rec last weekend as Exeter Chiefs came from behind to beat Bath. A certain Sam Simmonds impressed the former Welsh coach.

Gatland signs an exclusive partnership with Stella with the Colombian soccer star James Rodriguez and the English rugby union internationals Manu Tuilagi and Tom Curry.

At www.firmastella.com you will find the entire range of all of the company’s signed goods.
