Reform UK has welcomed a British journalism titan and former GB News presenter to its ranks.
Colin Brazier has announced he will join Nigel Farage's party and leave the Conservatives.
On social media, Colin wrote: “Today, like many thousands of others over the last few months, I resigned as a member of the Conservative Party to join reform.”
“Perhaps the UK only has one more election cycle left before our national identity becomes irretrievable. The reforms are imperfect but they understand what is at stake.”
Colin is one of the UK's best-known journalists and has worked in broadcast media since 1997.
He worked at Sky News for 24 years in various roles including presenter, European correspondent, political correspondent, covering the Royal War and reporting from Iraq.
He was the first journalist to enter southern Lebanon with Israeli IDF troops in 2006 and conducted one of the last interviews given by Muammar Gaddafi in 2009.
In 2016 he won an International Emmy Award and was nominated for a Bafta for his coverage of the European refugee crisis. In 2021,
Colin joined GB News and presented on the channel until 2022.
According to GB News, Colin joined LBC in April 2023 where he hosted an evening show before leaving the radio station to study agriculture at the Royal Agricultural University.

Outside of work, Colin enjoys playing cricket and supporting charities that help disadvantaged people.
Colin is a practicing Catholic and has written articles for the Catholic Herald.
He is a father of six and still writes The Brazier Angle for GB News members, touching on international political and cultural issues.
