Tutorial: How to Farm in Plato Farm

British Weekly December 23, 2021 4 minutes read

People seem to have a natural passion for agriculture. Nowadays there are all kinds of farming themed client games and mobile phone games, farming games have even emerged into a new genre that combines farming with survival or adventure. Different groups of players come and go from decades to decades, but the love of the farm game never fades.

Today we would like to introduce a farming game called Plato Farm. Most of the time, the players of this game just have to repeat the simple action of planting, harvesting and trading. Neither fast APM (Actions Per Minute), which is needed in action games, nor an aiming skill, which is needed in FPS games, is required. Players can only achieve a great sense of achievement through minimal effects. Let’s take a tour next to the farming world of the Plato Farm.

  1. harvest

The farming world of Plato Farm consists of two parts: one is grain and the other is sapling. We start with the harvest, which is the most basic element in the game.

Take wheat as an example. Players begin by purchasing land and wheat seeds. Plant the seeds in the ground and harvest when they are ripe.

The player can reprocess the harvested wheat (e.g. use the wheat to bake bread in a bakery) or follow the in-game trading rule to sell the wheat and get MARK, and then continue buying seeds.

There are a total of 13 types of plants on the farm. Players can unlock seeds as they level up. Below is a summary of the Corps and the corresponding level to unlock, maturity time and experience points.

13 types of plants

While there are only a small number of crops, the developers have gotten quite an effect on animation. Every culture has four forms. Let’s take cottonseed as an example:

Animation 1: Just planted

Animation 2: Half of the growth time has passed

Animation 3: maturity

Animation 4: Ready for the harvest

As mentioned above, in agriculture these crops are raw materials for the reprocessing plant. It is suggested that new players can buy basic corps like wheat, cucumber, carrots, corn, and sugar cane as these crops are in high demand.

When players reach Lv.15 or higher, they unlock a more advanced game: planting seedlings. Take the apple tree as an example, players must buy orchards and seeds from the apple tree. Plant the seed in the orchard land and wait for it to ripen.

Wither

Planting an orchard can harvest three times. After the third time, the fruit tree will wither and players will have to use props to remove the tree or put up a help sign to ask their friends to “save” the fruit tree (just once). The restored orchard can be harvested three more times. You can also collect experience points by helping your friends restore the fruit tree!

Below you will also find a summary of the corresponding levels to unlock various fruit tree, ripening time and experience points:

In addition, players must have land on the farm to grow crops. If the farm area is insufficient, the players have to expand the farmland by, for example, cutting down small trees or tree stumps with an ax or sawing large trees with a drag saw. Details are as follows:

Notes: All of the above data comes from the official developer or game itself. As the game is still in open beta, some data is subject to change. Please refer to the relevant information from the official developer.

We have reached the end of the tour to the Plato Farm. It’s a nice relaxing farm game. Get your friends to enjoy farming together this holiday season.
