CharacterX Secures Seed Round to Propel AI and Blockchain Integration in Web3

British Weekly January 7, 2024 3 minutes read

CharacterX, a pioneering decentralized AI social network, today announced a significant $2.8 million round at a $30 million valuation, co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, INCE Capital and Spark Digital Capital. Major investors include CGV, ZC Capital, GRI, Fermion Capital, 84000LP, Fan Zhang, etc. This investment highlights the growing interest in the Web3 and AIGC space, a sector that has recently received increased attention in the crypto space.

CharacterX, a decentralized synthetic social network initiated by a Stanford team, combines AGI technology with blockchain and aims to transform the landscape of social networks. The team has more than 10 years of experience in AI application development and has spent the last few years developing world-class visual AI and entertainment applications in North America. The team recently launched CharacterX mobile applications for Android and IOS, as well as a developer website, to allow users to develop deep emotional connections with AI creatures. It boasts more than 500,000 users, each of whom interacts for an average of 30 minutes a day, highlighting the program's rapidly growing appeal.

In addition to impressive product design and market growth, CharacterX is at the forefront of decentralized AI technology. For an enhanced social experience, CharacterX is developing an advanced multimodal AI architecture that inputs and outputs multisensory data, including 3D and AR experiences combined with a next-generation computing platform. CharacterX also develops proactive AI agents specifically for social scenarios. By using ERC6551 for decentralized AI storage and consciousness management, it provides users with personalized and authentic social experiences while maintaining security and privacy.

The company's rapid product development and rapid user growth are evidence of its potential. With a solid team led by Stanford entrepreneur Rene and comprising leading AI scientists from renowned institutions, CharacterX is poised to make a significant impact.

As the intersection between AI and blockchain continues to tighten, CharacterX is a project worthy of attention. With the recent Twitter milestone of 15,000 followers, it's clear that CharacterX is still in its early stages of growth and represents an exciting opportunity for those interested in this cutting-edge space.
